Let’s bring back our hearts to our first campfire. The North Wind brings us joy and peace - The South Wind brings us friends and friendship - The East Wind brings the sun, the light of day - The West Wind brings us the stars of the night sky.  Now is the time to enjoy a memorable vacation with our families and friends.  Who hath smelt wood smoke at twilight?  Who hath heard the birch log burning?  Who is quick to read the noises of the night?  Let him follow the others, for the young men’s feet are turning, to the camps of proved desire and known delight.

Kimmis and James cordially invite and welcome all members to gather with families and friends at Strathcona Park Lodge (Strathcona Provincial Park), near Campbell River (known as "Salmon Capital of the World") on central Vancouver Island, nestled on the shores of Upper Campbell Lake, overlooking a procession of snow-capped peaks. 

Here we can share the wilderness, experience the adventures of tailor-made activities: such as Campfire, Backpacking, Survival Skills, Rock Climbing, High Ropes Challenge, Zip-line on the pulley, Canoeing, Kayaking, Boating, Fishing and Hiking.

The College Building is a rustic log cabin surrounded by nature and tranquility. Accommodation fees are Canadian $60-70 (per person for 3 nights), August 12-15, 2004 (Thursday thru Sunday).  Check-in time at 2:00 p.m. and Check-out time at 11:00 a.m.   Kitchen and laundry facilities provided.

We can enjoy the splendid gourmet buffets in the Whale Room or have the option to cook our own meals.

Let’s ponder thoughts of sitting on the cabin deck capturing the memories of a hearty breakfast in the open air accompanied with an early morning sun or mist, remains repeatedly in our minds.  Then night falls, stars above, as the moonlight reflects off the lake, shadows of nature all around.
