How will you survive a computer disaster? Every year, 43% of computer users lose irreplaceable emails, documents, photos and other files, are you protected?
There are many ways to keep your computer protected, no matter you are using a PC or a Mac, we have solution for you and would like to share couple ideas with you as follows:
- For PC users, there is a build in backup utility for Windows XP and Windows Vista. From "Start" menu, select "Accessories" and choose "System Tools". You can find the system backup option for you to backup your comptuer.
- For Mac users running Leapord, "Time Machine" is a cool tool to use to backup your computer. It is user friendly and automatically run as long as you connected to an external backup drive. You can even backup your Mac to a network device.
- On-line third party solutions. There are various on-line backup solutions available, each and everyone got it's function to fit a specific needs. We will illustrate that in this Backup section.
- Third party on-line backup appliances. Certain businesses or individuals would like to keep their sensistive backup information in-house or under their total control. Backup servers or backup appliances are available for selection. We will illustrate that in this section.
- Disk Imaging, basically, this is to clone your computer hard drive and keep the cloned images as a backup. Again, various solutions are available for both Mac and PC, will discuss that seperately.
